Saltbox Platform Release Notes for July 20, 2026

This monthly feature release includes usability updates, bug fixes and early access to upcoming features.

Early Access

• Manage Connectors on any project-level page using the updated Connectors menu.

• Added an action setting that controls how blank values are handled in Visual Data Mapper value aggregation functions. When an action uses the new mode, and “allow empty/missing” is unchecked for a function such as “first” or “last”, the mapping fails as expected if the value is blank. This feature requires the latest engine version.

• Usability Updates:
  • Configure arrays more easily in Visual Data Mapper.
  • View the next scheduled run for scheduled workflows on the Project Assets page.
  • Workflow Trigger schedules that use Advanced cron expressions are now validated as soon as the field is updated, rather than after pressing Save.
  • View access expiration details on the company selection page when signed in as a consultant user.
  • In Workflow Designer, selecting the + button now opens the Add Action/Branch wizard instead of a menu.
• Bug Fixed: Corrected the Visual Data Mapper output format when processing a source array containing a single element. A compatibility option is available to maintain backward compatibility. This fix requires the latest engine version.

Updates

• Usability Update: Switch Cases can now be enabled or disabled in Workflow Designer. This feature requires Saltbox Core Connector version 11.47 or higher.

Bug Fixes

• Bug Fixed: Workflow creation no longer displays an “Invalid cron expression” error when creating a second workflow in some projects.

• Bug Fixed: Advanced cron expressions now enforce the minimum permitted schedule interval.

• Bug Fixed: Workflow-level Realtime Messages page no longer displays an error when navigating quickly between filters.

• Bug Fixed: Daily workflow schedules no longer produce “Invalid cron expression” errors.

• Usability Bug Fixed: Workflow Designer Outline now displays Switch Cases.

• Usability Bug Fixed: Connectors menu now displays readable text and background colours when a connector version is incompatible.

• Usability Bug Fixed: Export Project, Move Project to New Host, Resolve Conflicts, and Express Connect Configuration wizards now display consistent alignment.

• Usability Bug Fixed: File picker error messages now display the file path associated with the error.

• Usability Bug Fixed: Files page now treats “project.xml” as a protected file name and displays a meaningful validation message when it is used.
