Saltbox Platform Release Notes for March 23, 2023

This feature release includes - new workflow and project variables; VDM value aggregation mapping; failure notification email updates; quality of life updates and bug fixes as outlined below.

New Features

• Value Aggregation mapping for Visual Data Mapper.

  • Configure a mapping to aggregate data within an array or collection, such as the sum, lowest/highest value, or count of items within the array.

• System variables have been added to all projects and workflows. These variables can be used in actions, custom email messages, or exception handling blocks:

  • Environment Name (project variable)

  • Project Name (project variable)

  • Workflow Name (workflow variable)

  • Workflow ID (workflow variable)

  • Message ID (workflow trigger variable)

Updates

• Workflow failure notification email notifications now include more details. This email also provides a direct link to the affected message trace for quicker troubleshooting.

• Project engines need to be restarted less often. This update proactively loads most updates to project and workflow details (such as variable and settings changes). Users will continue to see a notification when manual engine restarts are required, which is much less often (such as when adding a new workflow).

• Usability updates:

  • Visual Data Mapper now displays a different icon for Visual Data Maps, Document Maps and XSLTs.

Bug Fixes

• Bug Fixed: Unable to retry messages from the tenant-level messages screen (64006).

• Bug Fixed: Can’t add a project variable if it has been imported as blank (64408).

• Bug Fixed: Data Path + button adds value to the wrong field (61116).

• Bug Fixed: Workflows can be created with space prefix or suffix but this causes issues (64489).

• Bug Fixed: Visual Data Mapper conditions tab doesn’t allow variables to be added (64246).

• Bug Fixed: “No Data Available” error when viewing an event based message’s details (64403).

• Bug Fixed: Can’t remove conditions from Visual Data Mapper (64572).

• Bug Fixed: Copied or imported workflows can’t be executed via the API Gateway until they are manually updated and re-saved (64082).

• Usability Bug Fixed: Can’t see scroll bar on the “new workflow” wizard (64577).

• Usability Bug Fixed: Visual Data Mapper “null” data types don’t display on the UI any more, but should (64124).

• Usability Bug Fixed: Visual Data Mapper options menu displays the wrong options after pressing the back button (64539).
